2. Create a new Outlook profile

1. Open Control Panel and choose Mail.

2. Choose “Show Profiles” in the Mail Setup – Outlook dialog box -> Add.

3. Now, type the new name for your new profile in the Profile Name box.


4. Then from the Auto Account Setup page for the Add Account Wizard and under E-mail Account, type your Name, E-mail Address, and Password. Then choose Next.


5. Click Finish. Then you will find the new profile name which you have added on the General tab in the Mail dialog box.

6. From, “When starting Microsoft Outlook, use this profile,”, select that profile -> Click OK.

1. Open Outlook
2. From the drop down list of “Choose Profile” dialogue box, choose the new profile name which you have created.
3. Click OK.

3. Check for whether Outlook is running in compatibility mode

In Outlook, Compatibility mode has been specially configured in order to help program to run on an earlier operating system. Means, in case, if your Outlook is running in compatibility mode, you can turn that off and then see. It will fix the issues in case, if the problem is occurring because of this reason. Firstly, find Outlook.exe file on your system.

In Outlook 2013,
you will get this file at C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office 15\ or C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office 15\

Then right-click the Outlook.exe file and select Properties. Then after select Compatibility tab.

Uncheck all the boxes if any of the boxes on the Compatibility tab are checked. Then choose Apply > OK.

Reboot Outlook.
